POSSIBLE WORLD RECORD TROUT LANDED
ABU GARCIA EQUIPMENT REELED IN THE MONSTER

Spirit Lake, Iowa (June 25, 2007) On June 6, 2007 Canadian Adam Konrad landed what could be the new world record trout. Caught on 6-pound test line the giant rainbow trout was taken out of the Lake Diefenbaker system of Saskatchewan. Konrad¹s catch weighed in at 43-pound, 6-ounces, which would break the current all-tackle trout record of 42-pound, 6-ounces.

Konrad and identical twin brother Sean are no strangers to hauling in record-breaking trout. Sean currently holds the record for 12-pound test line, with a trout weighing 33-pounds, 6-ounces also taken from Lake Diefenbaker.

Adam was fishing with an Abu Garcia® Ambassadeur® reel to land a trout that measured 38.5 inches and had a girth of 33 inches.

Adam¹s trout has been submitted through the International Fish and Game Association to verify a new world record all-tackle trout. If the record does not stand in the 6-pound category it will bump Sean¹s current world record in the 12-pound category.
